Midnight Sun Film Festival in Finland is one of the most unique film festivals around the world. The festival showcases a wide selections of international and Finnish independent films. The unique characteristic of the festival is its location. In the village of Sodankyla, the sun does not set at all during the summertime and the films are screened for 24 hours at the festival.
Finland is best known for its nature. It is also an important aspect of the Finnish lifestyle. A unique characteristic of the Finnish nature is contrast. Inspired by both nature and film making, the design is a combination of both sunlight and projection in film. The limitation set for this project was to use only typography as the main visual element.
