Our City

by Kiddo Pan

The short animation is a glimpse of Baltimore City, Maryland. Though known as a place with drug and violence problems, I want to focus on the beauty of Charm City. By drawing portraits of people such as the late actor Michael K. Williams of The Wire, climate justice organizer and Baltimore youth Nadia Nazar, eye doctor Lisa Abrams, who is also Baltimore Ravens fan of the year, the design celebrates distinguished people related to Baltimore in all walks of life. With elements of Baltimore Club dance, queer skate and national aquriam, the animation appreciates the diverse culture. And the “Stop Asian Hate” protester represents the efforts towards social equality.
